Logan Medical Center is seeking a full time staff therapist. Candidates must be a licensed CRT/RRT, and BLS certified. ACLS is not required, but preferred. Some clinical experience required, must be familiar with procedures and equipment provided by the Respiratory department. Must be familiar with indications, contraindications, and hazards of various therapies and be able to work under limited supervision. This is a full time position with a split schedule. Monday and Tuesday hours are 0630-1600 with a half hour lunch deduction. Wednesday and Thursday hours are 1300-2300 with an hour lunch deduction. There is also a required 8 hours of “Call” per week. Job Title: Respiratory Therapist CRT/RRT-PRN
JOB DESCRIPTION: The CRT/RRT will provide services, timely and efficiently, at appropriate levels to all patients and in all settings served by the department. The CRT/RRT will perform tasks and duties as outlined in the Respiratory Care Department’s Policy and Procedure Manual and will assist in assigned administrative tasks, both basic and advanced, and will maintain clinical competencies through participation in educational and orientation programs. The CRT/RRT should also be able to provide advanced clinical expertise and education to departmental staff members. The RRT should also be able to provide educational assistance (Adjunct Faculty) to the students from contracted Respiratory Therapy School programs.
JOB REQUIREMENTS: Licensure/Certification/Registration: License-State of Oklahoma; Registration-National Board for Respiratory Care Certification-Basic Life Support (CPR), ACLS for staff who work in adult critical care. Education: Graduate of Respiratory Care program accredited by the Committee on Accreditation for Respiratory Care (CoARC). Special qualifications: Good communication skills, computer skills necessary. Ability to work with others as a team to ensure quality patient care
