2009 Elections - Ballot Recall

Important information:  Due to a printing error, the ballots for the 2009 officers are being reprinted and remailed.  Any ballots which have already been mailed in are invalid and will not be counted.  The OSRC apologizes for any inconvenience this may cause, but this step is necessary to ensure the validity of the election process.  Your new ballot should include a peel-off label with your AARC number, which must affixed to your ballot envelope.  Watch your mailbox for your reprinted OSRC Ballot.

Again, we apologize for the inconvenience.  We hope to have online voting in place by next year, which should make the election procedure much easier!

The 2009 candidates are:
President-Elect:
Doug Odor, RRT

Vice President:
Larry Ford, RRT
Bobby Chasteen, RRT
Petrina Nesbitt, RRT

Also remember to fill out a nomination for the OSRC's "Partners in Our Profession" award.  The “Partners” Award is patterned after the popular Zenith Award sponsored by the AARC. "This is our way to give credit to those vendor representatives and manufacturers whose products are exceptional, whose support is tremendous, whose salespeople are well thought of and who support state educational functions," said Karen Hart, who established the award during her presidency in 1995.

RCPs across Oklahoma are asked to identify nominees for our state’s “people’s choice” award designed to identify and recognize the manufacturers, pharmaceutical, supply companies, and/or service organizations that have done an outstanding job for us, for our employers, and our professional organization, the OSRC - most importantly, however, for the patients we serve! The company and its representatives with the highest score based upon the number of nominations is then awarded the PARTNERS IN OUR PROFESSION award. Please Click Here to access and fill out a nomination form (Adobe Reader required)

OSRC Names MAQUET the 2007 Partner in our Profession

Maquet Website

MAQUET, Inc. and Zane Phiffer, RRT-NPS, their representative for the Oklahoma territory and beyond, earned the "2007 Partners in Our Profession Award" from the Oklahoma Society for Respiratory Care (OSRC). This is the highest honor bestowed by the OSRC upon its partners in business and industry.

The Partners in Our Profession Award was presented to Phiffer on July 12th at an awards ceremony held during the OSRC annual seminar and exhibition by Karen Hart, RRT, a past OSRC president and current Delegate to the AARC. The “Partners” Award is patterned after the popular Zenith Award sponsored by the American Society for Respiratory Care (AARC). MAQUET was also selected as a Zenith Award recipient in 2006 for ongoing contributions to the AARC, to the field of Respiratory Care and to the patients served by the field and by pulmonary medicine.

"This is our way to give credit to those vendor representatives and manufacturers whose products are exceptional, whose support is tremendous, whose salespeople are well thought of and who support state educational functions," said Hart, who established the award during her presidency in 1995.

RCPs across Oklahoma are asked to identify nominees for our state’s “people’s choice” award designed to identify and recognize the manufacturers, pharmaceutical, supply companies, and/or service organizations that have done an outstanding job for us, for our employers, and our professional organization, the OSRC -- most importantly, however, for the patients we serve! The company and its representatives with the highest score based upon the number of nominations is then awarded the PARTNERS IN OUR PROFESSION award.

Worldwide MAQUET ranks among the leading providers of medical technology products and services for operating rooms and intensive care units. Since its foundation more than 165 years ago, MAQUET has stood for innovation and technological process in the field of medicine. With forward-looking and practice-oriented products, MAQUET fulfills the prerequisites for best-possible workflows.

Zane Phiffer has been an integral component of Oklahoma’s profession for three and a half years,  first as a clinical specialist educating users and prospective buyers on Servo ventilators and now as sales representative for MAQUET. He actively supports the society and each of its educational programs; he proactively introduces new ventilatory techniques and life-saving interventions; and he is an absolute advocate for our patients, for Servo users and for RCPs across the state.

Join the OSRC Board of Directors in thanking Zane & MAQUET for their ongoing contributions and congratulate them on winning this prestigious award.

Karen Hart, RRT -- 405-272-6443
